Have you ever experienced that moment when you walk out of a dark movie theater and you are blinded by the sun? Anytime that happens I always turn to my wife and say, "It's the brightest day of the year" as I sway my head back and forth like I can't see.She laughs like 50% of the time....😂⠀
That's what happens when you experience the difference between darkness and light so close together. It makes you squint, cover your eyes and walk around partially blind for a few seconds as your eyes adjust.
Here is a question for you, as a follower of Jesus. Are you living as the human equivalent to walking out of the movie theaters? Is that a weird analogy? If it is, who cares...go with it and really think about it.Are your actions, words, deeds, and attitude shinning bright in the darkness? Or are your friends unable to tell that you live for a higher calling and a different purpose?
I know that it's hard to live with that kind of impact and that's why I wear tees to remind myself every day to live differently. It's really hard to stand in a line with my arms crossed and a fierce "hurry-up" scowl on my face when my shirt says "shine" or "walk in love" or "choose joy"
I hope that when you wear this shine tee you are reminded that people are watching you, wanting to know if this Jesus you live for really does make a difference.Well, shine bright and show all of them that He does and He is!Show them that walking out of a movie theater brightness!
