Rejoice always. One of those things that are easier said than done. Because inevitably in life you are going to stub your toe. Whenever that happens to me I turn to my wife and say, "I hate everything." Obviously, there are worst things that can happen to you but in the moment of toe-stubbing misery, it's hard to think of one. It's hard to rejoice at THAT moment.
This design is inspired by a verse in 1st Thessalonians that says, "Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus."
It doesn't say, rejoice sometimes or rejoice until this or that happens. It says Rejoice Always. That is a hard thing to do because our world doesn't like to rejoice. We like to complain, moan and argue about everything. Jesus calls us to Rejoice! When? Always. So, whether you just won a competition or stubbed your toe you, as a follower of Jesus, you are called to Rejoice. It won't always be easy and there will be times when we fail, but we still must try and try again to rejoice always, pray without ceasing + give thanks to God in all circumstances!
