Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. - Philippians 4:6
Do you ever get so wrapped up in worrying about everything going on in your house, in your family, in your church, and in your mind, that this overwhelming sense of panic starts to creep up and make it hard to breathe?
"How am I going to get all of this done?"
"How on earth am I going to handle this?"
I know that feeling all too well. I've been there: trapped in my own head with worry keeping me prisoner.
There is a way out: prayer. Let go of the idea that YOU have to solve all of these problems that are weighing you down, and ask God for help! The questions shouldn't be, "How am I going to get all of this done?" or, "How on earth am I going to handle this?" Turn your worries into prayers:
God, I'm feeling so trapped and overwhelmed. I've realized that I can't do this on my own, and I'm sorry that I keep forgetting that I need you. Please help this come together. I know that you have a plan. Please give me peace and the strength to keep taking steps forward, with you by my side, instead of getting stuck in worry.
