Heading Back To School (In Style)

I was always excited to go back to school at the end of summer. Not because I really liked school, but mostly because I was excited to update my wardrobe. I know, that's a terrible reason, but it's the honest truth. Some people were athletic or academic, I was the artsy one and clothing was my way of releasing a touch of creativity each day.

You don't need a grand budget to update your wardrobe this fall. A decent chunk of my closet comes from the thrift store! Research DIY's to use the clothing you already have and add a pocket or distressing. Sell the clothing shoved in the depths of your closet and use that money to invest in new pieces. Even just a few staples - a chunky cardigan, boyfriend jeans, and chic trainers, go a long way in taking what you own and making it feel fresh.

Head back to school in this black heather original t-shirt! Pair it with some distressed, light wash denim and a chunky mustard cardigan for a touch of the warmth of fall time. Slide into some Birkenstocks or a pair of sneakers to finish off the look.

For a more subtle graphic tee, check out this ice blue original. Dress it up with a skirt, but keep it casual with a jersey material. Finish off the look with a green bomber jacket and a pair of sneakers to add an athletic touch to this back to school outfit.

Brighten up the hallways with this dusty rose, rolled cuff women’s tee. The high low hem and flowy silhouette are super flattering. Pair it with a pair of purple cargo skinnies to add even more color to the ensemble. Finally, lace up your combat boots, and you’re ready to take on a new school year!
