There are almost 20 verses that state "stand firm" in the Bible. For a people that have been redeemed and are more than conquerors, we should be hopeful, bold, obedient people. Yet God, being rich in mercy, knows our hearts. From Old to New Testament, God's people have always been a forgetful people. That's why he tells us to set up moments in order to remember what the Lord has done, why he tells us to write God's word on hearts and on our door posts and teach them to our children, why he put a rainbow in the the sky to remind God's people of how sovereign he is and how full of grace he is toward those who call upon his name. Therefore, stand firm!
