Did you know that smiling is contagious? Smile at 20 people, and I’m saying 19.5 of them will smile back at you. The remaining half? Well, some people don’t get it. But for the love of everything important, don’t let that leftover half derail you from SMILING!
According to Solomon (the wisest man in the Bible), smiling is good for you.
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart; good news makes for good health. - Proverbs 15:30
It’s actually scientific. In an article I read by Vivian Giang, she says, “The more you smile, the more effective you are at breaking the brain’s natural tendency to think negatively. If you smile often enough, you end up rewiring your brain to make positive patterns more often than it does negative ones.”
A natural tendency to think negatively? No thanks. Reboot, please!
Here’s a simple way start the rewire process: Smile while you drive. I’m serious. It’s a rare few people who smile when they drive - most of us are intense, focused, stressed, pressed for time and thinking about the next appointment. So smile; Rewire the brain; Spread the joy!
