Spend a few minutes on Instagram or Facebook, and you’ll see lots of people living a good life. At least that’s how it looks. With instant access to stories, feeds and tweets, we can quickly get turned around on what it means to live a good life. It’s okay to take amazing vacations, post your proud moments, and share exciting news with your people, but that’s just a by-product of what the Bible tells us is the good life. There’s an order to life with Jesus; it’s a cause and effect relationship. Before we get to Destination Good Life, we need to lay the groundwork. Jesus gets us started here:
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. - Matthew 6:33
That’s a good promise! Start by focusing your thoughts and efforts on Kingdom stuff, and He will give you everything you need, a.k.a. “A Good Life.” Notice Jesus didn’t promise us everything we want, but He did promise us everything we need. Start today - set your focus on what He wants you to do and trust Him to give you what you need.
