“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return.” 2 Timothy 4:7
This one’s for those of you battling through it today. The list is long - painful relationships, struggling finances, lack of vision, sickness, fear, addiction, depression, loss. Your heart is aching and your soul feels weak. You keep looking up, waiting, asking for some relief, but instead, you’re thrown into the ring for another brutal, bloody round. You. Are. Tired. And you’re searching for a single thread of lifeline to pull you closer to firm ground. I want you to know… God has not forgotten you! The battle is real because we live in a broken world, but - hallelujah - our God is not broken.
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. - 2 Corinthians 10:3
Grab your weapons!
Prayer - Tell God how you’re feeling, be real, be honest, lay it out there; pray for Him to bless your enemies; ask Him for direction; repent of wrong attitudes
Scripture - God doesn’t lie, and His promises never fail. Dig in, find some for yourself and hold tight.
Praise - Yes, in the midst of the battle, thank Him for the good things. Paul sang praises in prison - you can too!
He wasn’t a preacher, but Rocky Balboa got it right when he said, “Every champion was once a contender that refused to give up.”
Your champion status is on the way. Keep fighting!
